The Bible says, "that in the last days some shall depart from the faith (the true Gospel), giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." I Timothy 4:1 This has happened right before our eyes in the last two generations.

One of the doctrines of demons that the modern church and false prophets teach is that a person can become a Christian and be saved without repentance. Many churches teach that a person becomes a Christian through baby baptism and confirmation. Repentance is not required. This is a false salvation that is taking many souls to hell. Water baptism does not save nor does learning knowledge about God save. If you trust in this false salvation, you are lost and headed to hell.

Another doctrine of demons is telling people that by coming to an altar, and making a decision to believe in Christ, and then saying a sinner's prayer, you will be saved. This is another false way of salvation because true repentance and the new birth is not required. Confession of sin is substituted for a godly, sorrowful repentance. A person confesses they are a sinner and even admits sins, but confession is not repentance.

The Protestants have embraced the altar call and the sinner's prayer as a means of salvation. It is similar to a Catholic doctrine where people confess their sins to a priest and he absolves them of sin. They don't repent, but just confess, then keep on sinning. Learning the four spiritual laws and saying a sinner's prayer to be saved is a doctrine of demons. There is no repentance demanded and no new birth and saving faith experienced. If you trust in this false salvation or any that doesn't demand repentance and true faith and the new birth, you are lost and headed for hell.

Jesus said in Luke 13:2, " I tell you except you repent, you shall all likewise perish." The Bible makes it clear that only sinners who repent (have a godly sorrow for sin and forsake sin to live a holy, righteous life) and truly believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be saved. A sinner can only be born again through a godly repentance and experiencing a saving faith in Christ. Without repentance, no new birth and no salvation.
